1. Welcome to DocLeaf

By downloading or using the DocLeaf app, these terms will automatically apply to you. You should make sure that you read them carefully before using the app. You are not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way.

2. Offline-First Privacy Guarantee & Cloud Sync

DocLeaf is designed with a strict offline-first architecture. All documents, edits, annotations, and metadata processed by the App Library remain on your local device by default.

However, DocLeaf does upload the App Library documents to your personal Google Drive if you choose to log in and enable synchronization. Other sections, such as on-device documents outside the App Library, happen entirely offline. DocLeaf does not upload, harvest, or distribute your private files to any third-party remote servers without your explicit initiation.

3. App Library and Storage

When you import a document into DocLeaf, it is securely copied to the internal App Library. You are responsible for ensuring that any sensitive data stored within the App Library is protected by your device’s native security measures.

To move a file out of the App Library back into your standard folders or share it with other apps, you must explicitly use the "Save to Device" functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

While core document processing is offline, certain auxiliary features rely on integrated third-party SDKs (such as Google ML Kit for translation and Google AdMob for advertising). These services may collect anonymized telemetry or usage data as per their respective privacy policies.

5. Limitation of Liability

DocLeaf is provided "as is". We are not responsible for accidental data loss, file corruption, or unauthorized access to your device or Google Drive account. We highly recommend maintaining independent backups of critical documents.

We do not guarantee that the app will always be available or be uninterrupted, and we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
