1. Information We Collect

DocLeaf collects only the minimum information necessary to provide its services. We collect:

Google Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to personalise your experience.
Document Files: PDF, Word, and Excel files you choose to view, organise, or manage within the app. These are stored only on your device and in your own Google Drive — never on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve DocLeaf:

To display your name and profile photo in the app interface.
To enable you to back up and restore your documents to your own Google Drive.
To display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.

3. Google Drive Access

DocLeaf requests the drive.file permission scope from Google. This scope allows the app to:

Upload your documents to a dedicated DocLeaf folder in your personal Google Drive.
Download previously backed-up files back to your device.

DocLeaf only accesses files that it creates. It cannot read, modify, or delete any other files or folders in your Google Drive. All backup and restore actions are manually triggered by you.

You can revoke Google Drive access at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing DocLeaf.

4. Third-Party Services

DocLeaf uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Sign-In – Authentication. Google Privacy Policy
Google Drive API – Cloud backup. Google Privacy Policy
Google AdMob – In-app advertising. Google Privacy Policy

5. Data Storage & Security

Your documents are stored locally on your device. If you choose to use the backup feature, files are stored in your own Google Drive account — DocLeaf has no access to a central copy of your files.

We implement industry-standard security practices. However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

DocLeaf is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it immediately.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Delete your data by signing out and revoking app permissions from your Google Account.
Revoke Google Drive access at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
